kinda like cleaning the BPC...it only prolongs the inevitable (replacing the component).
I removed mine and cooked the tip with a propane torch. You'll see little bits of junk flare up, which is good. Once cool, put a little anti-seize compound on the threads (as was mentioned prior) for eaiser removal later for when you will most likely have to replace it.
More than likely, the two primary sensors (ones closest to the exhaust manifold) are the culprits. The secondary ones (near the cats) just supply a base-line figure to the ECU and rarely cause problems (though, you never know). Do you happen to know which one is causing the CEL?
