I think at some point the CS became the LPT (170hp) engine, with the same turbo as the FPT (200hp) CSE engine, but I have no idea when (?94). I'm pretty sure by '96 there was no more normally aspirated 9000, so you could convert to FPT (hopefully someone who's done it will chime in with what's needed; I think a BPC valve & CSE ECU from that year are all that you need?) From that point you can add a 3" downpipe & modded ECU to get up to 250ish hp fairly easily.
But there also may be an issue with CV joints. Maybe check Quasi's site & make sure the CS would have the bigger CVs too-don't want to add power & start bending stuff.
Other than that, go with whichever car is better cared for. The Aero seats look very cool, but reduce visibility to the rear, seem to wear more from the cars I've seen, and don't fold very well. Plus it's a b%#*h to get a carseat to fit well, if that's a concern. Also, I'm guessing most Aero drivers have probably called on all 252lb-ft on a daily basis, putting more wear on motor mounts, CVs, clutch, etc.
