Ahh Brian...
the moment the Saaby hits the retirement home, its fate is twofold- imminent demise or complete resucitation by a new friend. Where do you live? I'd consider lending a hand.
My '89 Mazda MX-6 GT just retired with 199,012 miles on the ticker. That said, it had eaten through one engine with the first owner, a clutch with the following, and a tranny, turbo, and second engine. If I had not retired, it likely would have eaten through me- like a slow, calibrated trip down hades alley.
I refused to cannabalize it, though. Instead, I called numerous auto museums throughout the country to see if they'd accept a donation. First, I had to convince them it was an antique. That wasn't as hard as convincing them that massive oil leakage and whoppie pie wrappers from the early 90's came standard with the MX-6 GT Package.
Anyway, here's payin my respects to he first of the 9000 line. Quirkiest quirk of all...
signed,
Finn
