There are check valves for all the T and 90-degree connections. There are place in the system where they are ESSENTIAL and places where they are merely nice. The headlight washers seem to be one of the essential points, as is the rear washer. Get them at eEuroparts.
The rear washer is in the same housing as the center stop light. It can get badly plugged with wax and won't work. Find the nozzle (right side, IIRC) and stick a needle in it (be gentle) and see if that helps. It may not. If not, get out a Torx driver and remove the housing for the whole thing. You'll be able to get at the nozzle and check valve and clean it out. Takes a few mins and is easy. Then re-aim the nozzle and you're done.
For your headlight wiper, do a search. There was a post here a few weeks back about how to open up the wiper motor and clean the contacts so it will park correctly, etc.
Good luck!
