Well, the flex pipe section on my JT system has just blown. I see that I bought it in January 2001 and it's probably done about 55,000 miles, which isn't all that special but I can live with it. Luckily the noise isn't too terrible at the moment!
My system does have hangers between the flex and the sports cat.
Have ordered a replacement downpipe from Elkparts - haven't used them before so it'll be interesting to see how they do. The price for the full system was about 15% less than I paid to Maptun nearly four years ago, when these things weren't exactly mainstream the way they are now.
One more thing - there is rust perforation where the aluminised steel tail-pipe is welded to the stainless tip. No noise, but it looks tatty. Reckon I'll cut the tip off and replace it with a trim that slides over the pipe, if I can find one the right size.
