Air, fuel, spark Posted by Ari [Email] (#2847) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Ari) on Thu, 4 Nov 2004 05:50:11 In Reply to: Will not Start, Lucius, Thu, 4 Nov 2004 04:15:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The holy trinity of starting.
If the engine is turning, and you didn't leave a rag stuck in the intake, then you have air. You've checked for spark. How about fuel? If the engine isn't starting AND there is fuel, then the spark plugs should be wet. Pull a plug and see if it is fuel wet, or at least smells of fuel.
You were in the area of the fuel filter and other fuel lines. Make sure that you didn't crimp a fuel line in the replacement process.
