I'd always go with the OEM part. The price difference is fairly negigible for such an important part, but thats just my opinion. I've heard from my indy and people here that the afermarket ones don't work quite as well. So that could be one problem, but I've read that the way that the t-stat is oriented could aslo affect it. I've never done one, so I don't know the first thing about it, but that's what I've read.
