and I will respect yours, Andrew, but quite honestly, the only person I put in danger is myself. My testing of the 9K's strength is done ONLY when no other vehicles are around, and only on the open highway. I do not weave in and out of lanes. I also do not maintain high speeds for extended periods--if I need to reach them to ascertain the brute force of the Saab, I stop at that point.
And yes, I have stated the facts in truth about all of the vehicles I have pulled away from. Could they have given up early? Possibly. But I find it hard to believe that any of those vehicles would have allowed me to put them behind me. I am quite amazed myself at what my 9K is capable of, esp. given the fact that it's an auto. And it only seems to be getting quicker as time goes on.
And just last night, a friend of mine who owns an M3 (a die-hard Bimmer fan) drove my car, and stated, (and I quote) "This is definitely quicker than my car. The response is incredible. This is an awesome ride."
You are correct about what can be taken away from you in the blink of an eye. That also is true about anything we as humans take for granted, and actually take advantage of: "Pigs go to slop; hogs go to slaughter". But I don't think I will be left 9K-less because I enjoy a spirited ride every now and then...
