This is the first use of my new TRIONIC OBDII manual. The P0340 code could be caused by incorrect or defective plugs, a fault in a wiring harness, or severe misfiring. However, in combination with P0444, you are directed to diagnose on that code. The evap purge valve is located on top of the canister in front of the right front wheel (apparently near the windshield washer bottle). Unplug six-pin connector H6-5 , behind the right directional indicator, and measure the resistance of the coil (male pins 5 and 6); it should be 26 +-3 ohms. If the coil is open (infinite resistance), replace it or fix the broken wire. If it checks OK, post a comment here and we'll go through the next steps.
