You totally get used to the no glove box.... Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Sun, 14 Nov 2004 22:40:35 In Reply to: 96 9000cs followup (kinda long), Finch, Sun, 14 Nov 2004 21:55:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
And you can easily install a factory boost gauge, but its not necessary since the LPTs only boost at base boost...The gauge would only go to the yellow anyway, so why do you care? Of course if (when?) you convert it to FPT like I and many others have done, then you'd want a boost gauge.
Radio sounding tinny....Was the "Loud" feature engaged? It would say so on the display somewhere, and yes it sounds horrible without it on, but its really one of the better sound systems I've heard, barring the multi-million dollar customized ones.
But what you said about the tranny scares me. A short or early shifting tranny usually does not mean good things to come. But have you driven any other 9Ks to compare? Maybe it shifts too early in your opinion, but thats fine, you'll get used to it. But if it shifts too early compared to other 9ks, then you're in for some trouble and I'd say pass on the car or budget at least a couple of thousand extra for a new tranny.
As for the price, with a possbile tranny problem, no way. But if not, then its ok, a little on the high side, but I bet it could be talked down a bit.
