I am also very concerned about my impending slave installation on my 94 cde auto to 5 speed conversion even though I am using an OEM. As much as I have been faulting SAAB for putting the slave in the bell housing which makes a slave leak an expensive clutch job, I have never had a slave failure. Two or three years ago I attempted to replace the slave on my 94 cs when I replaced the clutch. I couldn't get it off so I just gave up. It is probably a good thing I did. The 94 cs is approaching 176k miles on original slave.
But with my 94 cde auto to five speed conversion I have to do it. The slave on the 5 speed FM57001 is stuck. On new install I know the screws have to be coated with thread locking compound. I can't seem to find a torque setting for the three screws. Also I have to use replacement hex headed screws as I stripped two of the three during removal. The contact surface between the slave and the inside of the bell housing has to be extra clean.
By the way, could you get the spec for the long neck bleeder screw? I am trying to get a replacement as the old one is stuck in the old slave. I found on Ebay someone is selling Iveco truck (Euro spec.) bleeder screws which look similar to the one we use. Length, diameter and thread spec should be sufficient.
I think I'll call John at Rum's garage to pick his brain if I can't get help here.
