I was quoted 6-8 hours of labor (down here in Miami that's $75-$80 hr) to R&R slave and possibly clutch.

Plus parts.

You'll pray a premium to have mech do master cylinder, as they probably won't get eeuroprices. Figure 1.5 hours + part = $250+

Slave add $600-$800

Clutch add another $300

I was getting quoted anywhere from $700 for just slave to $1400 for slave,clutch, and rear main seal (which is fine)

Plus, you'll want to replace lines if they haven't been.

Figure 1/2 hour + $100 parts

That was why I bought another 9000, and then relegated the job to myself as an experiment in being able to take apart and put back together in working order without spare parts at the end of the job (I had only two spare parts, a couple bolts for the plastic wheel well that were too much of a pain to get back in).

When my master failed, I pressed on the clutch and it sat on the floor.

My new slave is leaking now, but 95% of the time, it works perfectly.

My old slave lost pedal pressure quickly, pedal got lower and lower as you describe.

Maybe you just have a leak somewhere, let's hope.

Any trans fluid dripping from bottom of trans??
