i think the original 900's up to '93 are one of the most nicely styled cars ever, the back end and side view, and the front windshield,
and for practicality and versatility, the hatchback did as much for me as the 9000 (hauling appliances, rolled out a nice featherbed to sleep on roadtrips).
and of course, i love the 9000's...
but recently, the last couple years, i don't want to offend anyone (i like the late 90's into early 2000's), but the brand new saabs look like mid 90's chryslers - can't recall the model - they're looking less and less like saabs, and of course they took away the hatchback (except for that new one on their website that looks like a subaru).
the distinctive sexy look is gone, as far as i can see
it's not a saab, just a sedan
mercedes has done the same thing, the new ones look like older honda accords, with an overly shiny chrome grill hinting towards the older mercedes.
bmw, volvo, and vw have really nice original designs however...
