You don't need or want an Aero ECU.
Proper ECU is # 43 01 917, B234L (FPT) ECU
You also need a BPC valve (~$200) and about 6 feet of vacuum line.
Here the proceedure:
1, Fashion a bracket to hold APC (really a BPC (boost pressure control)valve to radiator fan shroud. I made one out of a piece of sheet-metal.
2, Mount valve on bracket
3, find BPC valve connector near drivers side of radiator, it should be hanging there.
4, remove short vacuum hose between the output side of the turbo and the wastegate actuator.
5, remove rubber plug from intake duct just prior to the turbo.
6, Cut three pieces of vacuum hose (8mm diameter ??) They should be approximately the same lenght, around 2 feet or so.
7, connect a hose between the fitting on the intake duct (just remove cap) and the bottom port of the BPC valve (labled R)
8, connect another hose between the wastegate actuator and the middle port of the BPC valve (labled W)
9, connect the third hose between the turbo outlet port and the top port of the BPC valve (labled C)
10, use a couple of wire ties to hold the bundle the 3 hoses.
11, connect the BPC connector.
12, Remove battery ground connection (make sure you have the radio code)
13, Remove the false bulkhead cover panel ( 6 or 8 screws)
14, ECU is located on driver's side.
15, Remove ground strap from ECU to body
16, ECU is retained by spring clips on each side. Compress spring clips and ECU will slide out
17, Remove ECU connector by rotating the locking arm of the connector.
18, Attach ECU connector to new ECU
19, slide ECU into bracket and reattach ground wire.
20, Reinstall bulkhead cover and battery ground.
21, Start-up car, enter radio code, and take it for a ride and enjoy.
Sounds like alot of work, but it isn't. Having done it once, it would probably
take less than an hour. Most of the time would be making a bracket for
the BPC valve.
Hope this helps.
