It is a turkey alright...

That was what I was afraid of, seeing things I am not suposed to be seeing when I carve up my turkey. But I just might, having been eating, sleepling, dreaming, not to mention actually doing the auto to 5 speed conversion for the past two weeks.

Seriously, the engine and transmission are assembled sitting in my garage. Did it this past weekend. I used the old turbocharger plumbing. They are not as bad as I thought they were. The shifter and pedals were in. Dashboard was restored. They were done last week. I also cleaned up the mess in the garage so as soon as the project is complete two cars can park in it as we usually do in winter time. The project is taking up most floor space in the garage and a spot in the driveway.

What hold me up are two engine oil cooler lines which I ordered along with the used turbocharger but didn't arrive with it and the drive shaft issue. My conversion parts source, Rumrill's garage, is either going to send me matching drive shafts for the LPT package (smaller cups), or the larger drive cups which fit the original cde FPT. Neither will happen before this weekend so I hope I can enjoy my turkey. Or will I?
