'869kT Original Clarion Radio Not Turning On!! Help!!

I posted the other day hoping someone would write back, so I'll try again, in case someone knows anything.
My original radio in my '86 9kT went out. This is the original type one with all push buttons, no knobs or anything. When I say went out I mean that it just stopped. The lights turn on with the car, but that's about it. Push the on button and nothing happens. My tape adapter is stuck inside of it too, so I was kind of annoyed about that. It doesn't even start flashing CODE like it used to, nothing. I really like the radio, it fits nicely with the overall look of the car.
Does anyone know of any reason for it to do this? Even long-shot, not sure if this would work fixes would be appreciated, I'm not too scared to tear it apart to replace parts, and I don't really have the money for a new one or to get this one fixed.
Thanks in advance!
Andrew W.
