I agree with Ian. Furthermore, after you execute your plot, I don't think it will pass inspection anyhow (here in Mass it wouldn't) because the SRS light will come on because the SRS control unit will detect an open circuit. I think it would also detect a short. If you take out the SRS indicator, the inspector will not see it come on after he turns the key and will flunk it. Why not fix it properly? You have the most expensive parts. The only tricky part is to find what caused the false detonation; the clues to that are in the stored codes.
