You should always use a new nut when fitting the axle into the hub. There is a small amount of deformation every time the nut is torqued and that could result in the nut failing or loosening.

There, now that the official position is out of the way, we can talk about real life. As a practical matter, you can reuse the nut once or twice if it is in good shape and it hasn't been over-torqued. My suggestion would be to check that it is tight at 1,000 miles and 5,000 miles, since the biggest problem will be the nut loosening rather than failing. Order a new nut ($3.49 from eEuroparts) next time you are ordering something and put it on at your leasure.

On some Japanese cars, you deform the nut shoulder with a pin punch to lock it to the shaft, which pretty much makes it a one time use item, but Saabs rely on the high nut torque to do the job.
