Head gasket, main seal, DI cassette, wheel bearing, 4 new tires, peeling clear coat from a poor job the PO had done, several rust spots in their infancy, drivers heated mirror and just the general fatigue of ownership after 5 years. The car has many new and good points including a 1 year old Eriksson tranny. I've amassed enough receipts to build a bonfire. A young technician at the dealership is going to buy it and he's the perfect owner. He'll keep it going for a good long time.
So far I'm enjoying the 9-5 Aero after a week and a few days(500miles). I hope it lasts. The 9k Aero's torque spoiled me forever so I had no choice :-) I figure in 5 years the 9-5 will have almost the same mileage as the 9k Aero had when I bought it.
Frankly, without the help and advice on this board (Thanks to all!)I would have given up in frustration long ago. This board and the support network I've developed after 20 years of Saab ownership would make it hard to switch brands. This will be my 6th Saab (2 C900S's, 2 C900T and the 9K).
regards
Peter
