i think i'll pass on the merc
i thought long and hard, will it actually improve the quality of my life, and the answer was no, getting the 92 running with a used di and the slave cylinder job (again) and selling it and not having to pay for repairs and insurance will improve my life, as will taking some of my better parts off and swapping into the 93 (to keep) will make my life better (in saved hassles hopefully down the road).
i'll just go back to admiring merc roadsters.
actually like the newer 72 - late 80's bigger body style better
like the wide hood
and they're cheaper to get if i ever want one
but i do think that 280sl is a bargain, california car with rebuilt mechanicals, someone should get a deal and restore it and have a nice investment
