my 92 cruise didn't work when i got the car
i paid to have it diagnoses
needed column switch
i tracked down a reasonably priced new one ($125 or something)
still didn't work, new switch revealed fault in cruise controle module under dash, so i at long long length, tracked down a known good one ($75 maybe - $125, I just don't remember).
then it worked, for awhile, then i started losing cruise when i'd go over a rise on the highway, then it got more intermittent, now it doesn't work at all
i'll probably give up. my 93 doesn't have cruise working either and haven't tried to diagnose. after spending $500 to get it working in 92 only to lose it a year later, lost interest in cruise, got a liking to controlling my own speed
i assume it's a vacuum leak, due to the way it was failing
does this make sense?
