...you have ACCI with the sun sensor in the passenger side corner on the dash.
In that case the speed controller is not in the aquarium AFAIK. I think it is somewhere behind the glovebox. Not sure about the transistor people are referring to, either. for ACCII it's the Toshiba SD1525 or equivalent.
Check the pin (22) on the ACC unit first for current increasing with the the fan speed setting before you go furhter downstream.
Hope someone has more specifics on ACCI. All my schemes are about ACCII.
However, the Townsend site seems to be up right now. check this out:!!
