Perhaps you could Test yr Oil 'idiot' light functionality.
Remove the wire and simply ground it onto the engine metal, virtually anywhere. IF it works when grounded then your Oil light switch is working and IF it goes off when the engine is running then you at least have Some lubrication happening.. enough to prevent Seizing, at least from lack of oil pressure.
Seizing due to lack of Oil means 'New Engine' almost instantly.
