Happy New Year, I just bought a 1993 CSE 5 speed w 155k. The seller told me that the “check engine” light lit because of a hole in the straight exhaust pipe which effected the O2 sensor. I fixed the exhaust but no change. My scan tool only goes up to 1992. The Saab owner’s manual says,” Check engine lights up if there is a malfunction in the fuel injection system. An emergency program in the control unit will take over, enabling the car to continue it's journey with somewhat diminished performance. Have the problem checked by your Saab dealer as soon as possible.” Car seems to run well. I posted this question on the board before reading your posting and realized you probably know? Todd
