you press the clutch down to shift into gear, goes into gear fine, then sticks part way up?? at which point you can pull it up and it'll shift hard into gear, or wait, and slowly maybe it will pop back up and the car will take off with a hard shift.
in my case it was a bad brand new aftermarket slave that had a slight leak in the seal that sometimes sucked air, and sometimes leaked fluid, but worked most of the time. the aftermarket slave had oversized holes for the three mounting bolts allowing the slave to shift off-center a bit (i was careful putting it on, or so i thought), not sure what effect that had as well. anyway, if this is a new problem for you, i'm guessing slave, when my master was bad the clutch pedal would stick to the floor and stay there and i couldn't shift into gear unless i pulled the pedal up, and when i did, could shift into gear, and release fine.
