This is the final phase of my 94 cde fpt auto to 5 speed conversion. Bled the clutch last night. Don't know how many times I've used the primitive bike tube method to do it. I still have not gotten the hang of it. Took me a few hours. But in the end I got it done. One day I am going to get a clutch bleeder, or make me one. Also used the dremol tool to cut the exhaust bolt off.

I used fossil oil for the cde rather than synthetic. The plan was to clean the sludge off with Auto-Rx. Auto-Rx recommend dino oil for sludge cleaning. After the process is completed I'll switch to Mobile 1.

Tonight I connected the exhaust with stainless steel bolts and nuts. That was the completion of the mechanical portion. I have started the engine the other day so I knew it runs. So I took it out for a spin. What a difference between 5 speed and auto. The turbo spooled up properly. I am glad I did it.

But the project is not done yet. There are still a few things I need to address.

1. the SRS light is blinking.
2. the brake lights are on all the time without key in ignition as long as battery is connected.
3. I test drove it without the center console installed, nor the ACC controler and radio . I knew the ACC controler is bad. Not to worry. I have a recently wrecked 94cs as a parts car.
4. I also knew both front and rear brakes need to be fixed. The 94cs has a pair of brand new front rotors and the rear rotors were less than a year old. They will all go to the cde.
5. The winshield washer reservoir leaks like a sieve.

I drove the wrecked 94cs and the 94 cde into the garage side by side. They have been in the driveway too long. Rain or snow is no problem now. I'll start scavenging the cs to fix the cde.

I'll take the 94 cse 5 speed fpt I bought last week home from the office parking lot before Friday.
