A couple of weeks ago we had about a foot or more of snow in Alaska before the roads were cleared. The snow was so deep that I was accumulating snow in the inlet below the grill (lower half of the radiator/intercooler). On my small road dominanted by oh-so fashionable SUVs and trucks, I was the first to break trail in the mess. Coming home is a slight uphill, so it took me about 3 to 4 attempts, each time laying more tracks to my house before backing up and starting over. Nevertheless, with studded Pirelli snow tires, this car ('90 turbo) was limited only really by its clearance. If I wasn't dragging the undercarriage in fresh snow the whole time, I could have done it one attempt.
Disclaimer: it is light, dry snow, not the wet Midwest type!
Later with my 9k I towed my girlfriend's RAV4 out of a rut! I know, probably not the smartest use of a nice car......
