Came out of the municipal court today. See one of my previous post on the car acciden which totaled my 94cs n/a.

I think I did the right thing. I'd like your opinion on this, however.

In the court matter, I was a witness to the NJ State's charge against him on improper left turn. At the same time, the other party charged me with improper passing. He hired an attorney. I didn't. We both waited a long time in the courtroom, which is not unusual. There was no hard feelings between us. We talked. He live in the same town I do. We both have three kids. On his attorney's advise, after a lengthy discussion with the prosecutor I presume, he (his attorney) said he is willing to drop the chatge against me. The attorney worked out a deal with the prosecutor at the same time on a lesser, no point or less point charge against him. I made no objections, assuming it will not affect my later pursuing for compensation for damage done to my vehicle (totaled actually). I made it clear to him as such. I have already obtained the form for the civil matter. The damage to his Toyata SUV (2001 or 2002 I wasn't sure) was $7k.

I had to came back yesterday on a business trip out of sunny Aruba (temperature in the mid 80's) to attend the court matter. But I missed another 18 incher.
