I've got a 92 9kt that has a very interesting behavior. Its also very reproducable. When climbing any steeper hill at speed (over 40mph) in a gear thats a touch tall for the hill say 5th gear for a fairly steep grade going about 45mph, the car will first hesitate ever so slightly almost like its cutting back boost then a second later the ignition cuts out as if I had turn the key back one notch. If I turn the key back then back to ignition the car will kick over and run fine (assuming I shift down) and pop the rpm's up over 3300 or so. If I dont shift down it will do the same thing over again within another second or two after turning the key. Otherwise it runs great and is as good as ever. This is the only time I have this happen and it is perfectly consistant in doing so. Any guesses?
