The sensor is a heated three-wire sensor (HEGO in Ford terminology.) The black wire is the signal. The two white wires are for the heater.
You need all three wires brought back to the car.
Go to the junkyard with a pair of cutters, go to the Ford section, duck underneath a Taurus or Tempo or Mustang and get yourself a chunk of the car's wiring harness with the connector that mates to the O2 sensor. You need about a foot of the wire, maybe a little less.
Take the Saab sensor and its wire completely off the car, lay it down on the bench. Lay the Ford sensor down next to it. Note that the wires come out of the sensor in a triangular pattern. You need to cut the wire off the Saab sensor and splice the Ford harness-side connector onto the wire you cut off the Saab 02 sensor, and you want to get the same wires hooked to the same pins.
