I value reliability in transmissions, so I got the manual in hopes that it'd be more trouble free than an auto.
So far it's been okay, though with a few quirks in the shifting, where it's hard to find the slot for 5th and balkiness going to 1st sometimes.
The automatic 93 CS I also have is going on 120k so far, and is fine except for some ominous whining, possibly from an overdue oil change, so that'll be high on the queue when the weather becomes more cooperative.
From what I've read (and the service orders I've seen in the PO's receipt collection), the manual's reliability may leave something to be desired. Lots of tow jobs for failed clutch, it seemed. Hopefully they fixed it once and for all before I got it- ;-)
