Keeping story short as possible...
I have two drivers side drive axles that came out of my 95 Aero sitting on my floor. One of which I ordered from eeuroparts myself and one that this axle had replaced. The tripod bearings on both axles measure aprox 34mm, as do the slots in the receiving cup.
Now for the fun part...
Ordered new part from local parts store. Had it in stock on a tuesday morning. Went to pick up at end of day. Clearly wrong part (long drive shaft style). Reordered part, in on Thurs. Brought it home and got the car up on stands. Found out it didnt fit the hard way (larger bearing style) Went back Fri morning/they "overnighted" the part for monday, which came wendsday. On Wednsday afternoon i came w/dial calipers in hand to find it was the wrong part again.
Now the truely confusing part....
They called the warehouse Thurs morning and had them physically inspect all the axles w/ the matching part# and found that, of the three axles on the shelf, all listed as same part, two had 37mm bearings and one had 34mm bearings. I called eeuro thinking I would get clarificaton. They tell me that all 9000T come w/ the larger bearings. I did not bother to mention that they had just sent me one in october w/ the smaller bearings.
Alright, while I go pick up the "right" part from Pelham Autoparts, please insert understanding and explanation here. Later.
