Hi guys I just pickup a 1997 Aero with 103000km , I only own two car in my life so far the first one was a 1988 9000t and as of last week a aero now I have two saabs. The aero is in good condition but I will like to make look a little different from the rest. The care is black with no rust , here are the things I’m planning to do
1. Remove all badges except the griffin logo on the hood and back (new ones), leave the aero badge. I’m thinking of placing an emblem of Sweden flag next to the aero badge. It’s available from Saab USA.
2. Tint the windows black, I think the darkest I could go all around is 15.
3. Put on a good exhaust tip because the one that came with it is rusting, any suggestion?
4. Replace the headlight and fog light with the white lamp.
5. I would like to get a nice license plate holder (front and back)
6. Saab logo valve stem
7. Replace the signal light on the front finder with smoke ones.
8. Touchup pain and rust proof.
9. A good polish and buff before I bring it out for summer.
10. Cross drill rotors and paint the caliper red or yellow. ( Suggestion welcome)
This is all I’m doing for now before I bring the car out for summer (suggestion is encourage) I live in Toronto Canada so some of these item will have to come from the US. I really want this car to look good (different but not to far away from stock)
I will write some more about the progress.
Thanks
Ted
