Well, that pretty much rules out CPS. I'd say that it's running overly rich on startup. That could be a bad FPR or O2 sensor.
But the 12111 code can stick around for quite a while - it's an adaptation fault, and it takes a while for adaptation to occur. And if you've been doing a lot of cranking without starting, it makes sense you'd have lots of fuel hanging around.
If it seems like it's getting too much gas on startup (and those symptoms do sound like it), the engine temperature sensor (mounted under the intake manifold, not the one driving temp gauge) may be faulty. At cold temps, the ECU runs richer at startup. And it uses that sensor to determine temperature.
You really are keeping it interesting. Of course, not as interesting as it is for you.
