Once I got mine, I quickly picked up the monster cable iCarPlay at an apple store. Its kinda pricey($80) but is well worth it, IMO. It charges you ipod and transmits on any FM channel. The newer model has a digital readout and three presets. I programmed those presets to align with ones on my head unit, so changing stations only takes a second. I don't have to change the station too often, but it will get static-y if there is a strong signal on the same frequency. If you have a 'local' setting on your head unit, that helps keep the signal clear(I don't know if Saab/clarion radios have this...). I've tried other fm modulators (itrip, etc.) but none of them combine charging and none seem to give off as strong a signal. I might go with something else if you live in NYC/LA/any other large city, as clear frequency may be hard to come by; though I was able to use it in boston without any trouble.
