Posted this on General BB by accident. Need some 9K input.

Coming home up I-84 last night I wanted to get away from some weenie in an Acura who kept passing me (I was running 80), then dropping back, changing lanes, generally being screwy. So I boot it from about 80 to 105 or so to get rid of him. Hold it there a little (but under a minute), then glide back down to 75-80. Car was smooth as silk at 100+

A few mins later I'm on the Mass Pike, headed east. I latch on to a guy in another 9K who's running 90+ and drop in behind him, maybe 100 yards back. I noticed a steady vibration--like wheel imbalance--that picks up around 85 or so and gets worse as speed increases.

The wheels are all tight, Don't seem to have thrown a wheel-weight. Do notice that my alignment is a bit off--outer edge of RF tire is wearing more than LF. That may be it, but funny that this vibration began so suddenly. Of course the Pike is less than really smooth these days, and I-190 that I take from the Pike toward home isn't what it used to be, so it could be road surface. There seemed to be a bit less vibration on I-190, FWIW. It's not driveline that I can tell: I put car in neutral and coasted at 90+ and the vibe was still there.

Any thoughts? The tires only have about 10K on them (Older model of Dunlop Graspics, came with car.). Wonder if there is a tire belt issue looming, since it was sudden. Haven't driven fast since last night, so can't tell more at the moment.

Thanks!
Noel
