According to what your '97 Anniv has, it does not match a '97 Aero. But I wonder if it matches a "normal" '97 CSE (I do not have any data on CSE's, which I'm hoping people will start providing to me).

The new kit you got does have different colors for the front than expected. What you thought you were getting is what I've noted for that kit, but what you got is the same as for a '97 Aero stick (auto should have o/g/w/g/o). Hmmm, I hope that doesn't cause a problem, as the springs that are used depend upon the tranny (weight being the factor). The rear colors do match up to the kit colors, and I have you down from way back as listing that combo for your '93 that had the Sports Suspension (but this time you listed orange as the last color band and it should be red: band colors 1 and 5 always match, as do 2 and 4). Check this posting (thanks, Street):

http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/9000/index.html?bID=177053

It lists details about the spring by the color bands. This list only goes to '95. Notice my question within the thread about the orange color (why it was missing from the list). Seems this color may have been added after '95, hence why your kit has that color since you were told that that is what Saab uses now.

The front dampers with 899 seem to fall in between a stock CSE (soft, #751) and an Aero (firm, #758), according to a past post by Pat98. I have no data on the rear damper #'s, but will start it with this and compare it to mine as well.

Thanks for the info, Bill!

For those who are interested in the '97 Aero/'98 CSE colors, here is the list again:

FRONT: Orange-White-Yellow-White-Orange (STICK)
Orange-Green-White-Green-Orange (AUTO)

REAR: Yellow-Green-White-Green-Yellow (BOTH)
