Hi there.
I'd like to find out how toronto area saab owners rate their saab mechanic for technical troubleshooting skills. A score of 1 will be for the best and progressively higher scores for bad skills. A score of 10 is very bad.
I know of several in the area that are good at replacing parts and diagnosing more common problems but I'm looking for ratings, or experiences (good or bad) etc. of mechanics' troubleshooting skills in the toronto area.
What prompts this survey is an ongoing problem with my wifes 9000 cse that so far has escaped a solution. The car averages 16L/100km (14.5 mpg) in all kinds of weather and with snow tires or with summer yokohamas. I'm hoping to find a mechanic to solve this problem.
The following have been changed with no change in fuel consumption...
-di cassette
-spark plugs (used ngk)
-thermostat
-air filter
-summer tires to winter tires and back again
-brake pads
-O2 sensor
The car has also passed emission tests and a dealer diagnostics computer check.
T.I.A. for any replys.
