Ok, I have been in the engine compartment doing most all 99% of the running from there. The engine sounds like a miss when the throttle is opened and held at any point if it doesnt rev. like it should(normal)conditions. It sounds like it spits and spuders with no increase in rpm, as if it is flooding and trying to ignite all the fuel but cant. Sounds also like if you get a spark plug wire crossed,( it will run but with a miss, and opening the throttle makes it more apparent.) Ive done that on v-8 motors, that is what they did.
Not extra parts with the car except a ign. coil and some relays and a Different ECU (0280 000 566, 8978355) and a toggle switch. That would make me beleive that they may have used the Ecu (89) to pull codes. Just a wild guess, but the parts are there to try.
No pressure tester on hand or a FPR. I would have had that in there if i did for sure. I can buy a Fuel inj. pressure tester at a local auto parts store. For $42. Cheap one Actron brand i think. That has a tee fitting. I thought about it when i was getting the fuel filter. The FPr is 10 bucks more but a next day order item. Buy the tester and use it on the Return line out of the FPR on the bottom to the tank or buy a regulator?
