I troubleshoot awhile ago ETS in my '92 Turbo so I went as deep as taking a part TH.
There is a DC motor maden by Gerb.Buhler Nachf.GmbH(Buhler Motor now) p/n 1 47 E 250 E . So I got in touch with them and they told me they supplied those motors for HELLA a while ago and that motor is no more in production(that's actual bad news).
On mine motor, commutator was worn irregulary,so I just polish my commutator a bit and there are left 2/3 of brushes.
Pedal potentiometer:took a part too-found cold solder on one pin
Open control valve or solenoid(30 Om)($40 CAN used)
Some corrosion was found at Jetronic(LH) conector and H24-1(TCS_wiring)
It was done before car got to dealer(dealer cost me $103 CAN with tax but I got access to Tech2,how?that's different story).
After I got codes and TCS book from Ari,troubleshoot and changed non-return valve($14 CAN) and some vacuum hoses($10 CAN).And it(9000) started mostly ride normaly.Sometimes at traffic TCS CTRL went ON.So I got it to recalibrate ETS.Got some intermittent codes about KDW wire.Took KDW motor out. There is a hinge. It didn't move freely and get stuck sometimes. So, I clean and sand it.Dont see the light anymore, but I'll go to calibrate ETS again. Why not, dealer let me do it,no charge :-)
