Did your parts '88 have the same set up as I face: bottom two bolts go to the block hold both the torque arm and a connection to the alternator? I got the bolts loosened, and yes it was quite a pain, but I stopped before removing the arm since I saw the alternator might be relying on that connection.
I debated the urethane mount, but decided to stick with rubber. I have the urethane on the tranny mount with good success, but didn't want to add any more vibration from the engine.
