I don't know how to check your relay, but you should get the fault code from a tech to make reasonably sure you are replacing the right part. (computers are not perfect!)

The airbag will not deploy with the light on ( Supplemental Restraint System)

If you replace the relay and want the light to go out and system to reset, just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes, if you replaced the part with the fault it should not go back on. If you didn't it could get expensive to try and fix things this way!

I would disconnect the battery first and try and reset the system first to make sure I needed to replace anything!

When you disconnect the power the computer "forgets" what caused the fault and it can no longer retrieved. P. S. when my light was on it was from a part in the steering column.
