Hi, I picked up a seized 91 9KT recently that I am preparing for an engine swap. I have a 91 9KT CD engine and tranny (auto) that I will be splitting apart for the donor. The engine has about 100,000 miles on it with an unknown service history. After reading through the posts about balance chain removal I am convinced that I can live with a little more vibration if I can save a $500 in parts. I plan on doing the engine/tranny mounts in addition to the BS chain removal while the engine is out. I was also thinking now is a good time to switch to Amsoil 20/50W Series 2000 Synthetic as Tom Townsend suggested. Is there anything else that I should be doing now?
Thanks,
Everett
