I bought a single CD "shop manual" on ebay that was an odd collection of procedures and schematics; though each sheet said 93 Saab, it looked like parts of it was a generic lift from somewhere. It was useful for the schematics, but nothing like a real shop manual. The Saabnet collective is more useful overall in handling things, since it's all BTDT.
It'd be nice if there were a nice photo database somewhere, that one could simply look up a particular component and see what it looks like without having to dig into it.
For instance, the back view of the radio chassis, or the CD changer cable end in the rear would have been handy when I was searching for it. I'm thinking of putting in a switch control for the antenna control line, but don't know if it's broken out in a discrete wire or hidden inside a cable harness. A picture would tell the story before I even remove it.
I've got a collection of pictures of various things, but without a good place to put them, it's just a smattering of posts.
Maybe it could be generated over time if the posts with pictures contain some text sequence like Picture:CPS, or Picture:DI cassette oil level, Picture:O2 sensor connector, etc, so a search could be done.
