Good Story.....I had a '97 Aero, involved in a stupid wreck. Front end damage was $15,000+. Hood fenders, wheels, etc. Now here is the interesting part.
The car looked like it was a total loss. When the shop took all of the damaged parts off of the car they discovered that the car was very fixable. They welded in a new front cross member, put all new parts back on and painted it. I watched the progress and asked a lot of questions along the way. There was no structural damage to the frame( they put it up on one of those high tech laser frame checkers?) and they did not even have to align the front end. The repaired car drove like new and I experienced no problems.
