.) There's no 6 speed in the 9-3. There was a 6 speed offered for a year with the SS ('03 I THINK) but it wasn't offered the next year because of some issues (synchros I believe). Word is its going to come back soon in a different form. So it would 5 speed vs 5 speed.
.) What if the 9Ks had non-stock wheels? Probably not, but its possible.
.) T8 wasn't offered until the SS in '03. The OG9-3s had T7. I can't tell you the specifics between the three systems, except that T7 uses the same DI setup as T5. T8 is quite different.
.) Agreed that the 9-3 is lighter. My NG900SET feels a bit quicker in some ranges than my FPT 9k, but I know the 9K would blow it away on the highway. The 900 is 185 hp (don't know torque spec) and I think the HOT 9-3 is 200, which is the same as the 9k and its a lighter car. This is all assuming no mods.
This would be an interesting race! I'd love to be there for it!!
