I just went through the exercise of swapping leather seat covers, and if you have patience and take your time it is not that difficult. The seat cover is secured to the seat's wire frame by "hog rings" in a number of places; these are circular rings that need to be spread apart to remove them, and I found that regular and needle nose pliers work best for this. There are two hog rings in the front on the underside of the seat, and five of them on the back of the lower cushion. Then as you peel the cushion back, there are spring fasteners at each lower cushion seam that fasten the seat cover to the wire frame underneach the lower seat cushion. To remove the seat back cover, you have to remove an torx screw that fastens the lumbar support knob on the side of the seat. Then pull the upper seat cover downward at each side to remove the cover from a spring clip at each side. Then as you peel the upper cover upwards, every time you get to a seam, look for 2 or 3 spring clips that hold the cover to the wire frame on the back side of the upper seat cusion. When you get to just below the headrest, there will be a torx screw on the front of the upper seat cushion that holds the headrest in place; remove this torx screw. Then try to pull the headrest upwards; there is a "truly funky" spring clip affair attached to the shaft of the headrest, and you may have to play with the tabs of this thing (just above where the headrest shaft goes into the seat) to get the headrest out; this spring clip thing is the most difficult part of the entire exercise.

When you reassemble the replacement seat cover, you can use plastic zip ties in place of the hog rings. Alternatively, search the web for "hog rings" (the Eastwood.com site has the pliers and the rings available)if you want to use new hog rings in the reassembly.

That summarizes my experience. Allow about 45 minutes to take the old cover off and probably an hour to put the replacement cover on.
