if you have any sort of mechanical ability and the tools you need you can do it yourself.
Only thing I would add is a piston compressor so you can fit new rotors and pads without wedging the pistoin with a screwdriver. I got one at advance auto parts for less than $10. It's basically a long bolt with a knob attached to a brake pad shaped thing that sits in the caliper (in place of the outer pad). You turn the bolt with the knob and it advances and presses against the inner brake pad pushing the piston back into the caliper.
Other than that I needed metric sockets (with long handles or a hammer to break the nuts loose) A set of metric hex drive sockets (though torx drivers can do the job) Also will need a deep 10mm for the pin that locates the wheel, and another torx driver for the small screw that secures the rotor to the hub.
