engine block to the cat that connects via a bolt to a boss on the cat.
They are known to break where they connect to the cat, usually because the cat hits the ground for some reason. The boss can be re-welded (in most cases) but you have to remove the cat. I think I paid $45 for the welding, as mine was a hard one to do.
There are 2 types of brackets, one is tubular, the other a flat piece of metal with a couple of minor bends. eEuroparts does NOT carry it. They say they don't get calls for them. Other TSN sponsors do have them. The dealer will sell you one for about $40 - 45, IIRC. A ripofff, but the sponsors are about $35 plus shipping. I went for the dealer because it was faster and easier for me.
It's a fairly important part, because otherwise your exhaust has no support all the way from the turbo to the center mufler, unless you rig a separate hanger.
