I have used the Deluxe for over 10yrs. It is much less dusty than OEM, and somewhat less dusty than the Metalmasters(MM).
I had a bad experience on my '95Aero with MM. I drove with a set for 7mo. They were scary the first few times I'd stop. No grip when cool. I almost rolled through a few stop signs, it was really a thrill and great way to wake up in the morning. I switched to Deluxe pads as soon as it warmed up in the Spring, and immediately had great braking power.
The MM had been put on by my indy. Brakes were needed when other work was done, and he went ahead. I set the MM aside as they were barely used, and after some discussions on their merits with Andrew, decided to slap the front ones on my '95CSE when they needed replacing. They worked fine. Perhaps a bit slower to grab on first stop, but barely noticable. They are dustier, but much less than OeM. Can't explain why they did not work on the Aero unless the rotors were different.
The Deluxe has been a great pad for me. ~80000 miles before changing, great grip, reasonably priced. Anders of Sweedecar says he has had some problems with squealing recently on the Deluxe. I've never had it, but it has been a couple of years since I've bought Deluxe. I'll still try it next time I need brake pads.
